In recent years, Chenghai’s industry of toys & gifts has developed quickly and healthily.
On April 16th 2003, Chenghai was recognized as the “China Toys & Gifts Town” by China Light Industry Association. During 2004 to 2006, the total production value in Chenghai’s toys and gifts industry respectively amounted to 10 billion, 11.5billion and 13billion, in a raising ratio to about 16.8% per year.
At present, Chenghai’s toys & gifts industry has primitively formed the development mode which treats international market as guidance, industry gathering as depend, innovation as motive, and local brand as initial competition ability.
It contains four aspects as following:
1. The industry gathering of toys and gifts has gotten further expansion. Chenghai has formed a large industry gathering leaded by over 20 companies, whose annual output value was more than 50million, like AUDEY HUAWEI QUNXING etc. It has also established an industrial chain which has assembled the production designing, manufacturing and sale etc. together. At present, there have been more than 3000 manufacturers of toys and gifts located in Chenghai. These manufacturers own over fifty thousands kinds of toys and gifts and absorbed over 100 thousands workers in this line. The industries have been highly gathering. As the result, Chenghai has been certificated by Guangdong Province as the “Industries Gathering Upgrading Model Area of Toys and Gifts”.
2. The influence of the local brand has been kept strengthening. Rely on the influence of the local brand-“China Toys and Gifts Town” and the plenteous achievement of CCITF, which has been hold for nine years, Chenghai Toys has been well-known by all over the world as a local brand. The influence of the local brand also arise rapid development in the line. In 2006, the total production output value of toys and gifts had amounted to 13 billions, and taken 37.58% in the total industry output value in Chenghai. Also as the result, Chenghai was listed into the “Experiment Area of Building International Local Brand” of Guangdong Province.
3. Chenghai’s toys and gifts have token more and more quotient in the international markets. Actually, more than 70% of Chenghai toys were sole to the international markets. In recent years, the main exporting organization has been changed from joint ventures and trading companies to manufactures themselves. And exporting was undertaken in multi trading mode. These decrease the exporting amount continuously. Now, Chenghai’s toys have been played all over the world. In some markets, the quotient has even reached to over 80%.
4. The ability of independent innovation has been improved evidently. There are near 30 manufacturers have obtained the ISO Quality System Certification, 82 manufacturers obtained the China Toys Quality Security Certification. 10 manufacturers including HUAWEI & AUDLEY have obtained the 3C Certification firstly issued by China government. Chenghai’s toys and gifts have also owned 715 patents, 1 Chinese Famous Brand as “AUDLEY”, 8 Guangdong Famous Brand like “QUNXING” etc, 2 “Chinese Famous Product” as “AUDLEY” and “HUAWEI”, 3 Guangdong Famous Product like “SHIFENG” etc. Chenghai also obtain the honor as “The National Advanced Area of Technology Progress” issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology of P.R.C.
